Azbil Signs the United Nations Global Compact

TOKYO, Apr. 26, 2021: Azbil Corporation (head office: 2-7-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku; president: Kiyohiro Yamamoto) announced that it has signed the United Nations Global Compact,*1registering as a participating company on April 16, 2021. At the same time, the company joined a related local network, Global Compact Network Japan.

Making “human-centered automation” the foundation of its business activities, the azbil Group works to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities by assisting in the sustainable development of society. The Ten Principles*2of the United Nations Global Compact pertain to four areas, human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, overlapping with areas that the azbil Group has been earnestly working on. Taking the opportunity of participating in an internationally recognized initiative, the company plans to expand and strengthen its efforts globally, in addition to its continuing efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Guided by its philosophy of “human-centered automation,” the azbil Group aims to fulfill its social responsibilities, make contributions that lead “in series” to the achievement of a sustainable society, secure its own sustainable growth, and provide solutions for the global problems faced by society.
